Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 championships have been earned on hardcourt
A revitalized Medvedev claimed his initial title for nearly 30 months with a win over Corentin Moutet in the tournament final.
Medvedev, a former number one, has had a difficult year, achieving just one win at the Grand Slams and undergoing a setback at the American major.
Medvedev's varied form on the ATP Tour - and struggles with his serving in especial - resulted in him exiting of the top ten and ultimately parting ways with long-time coach Gilles Cervara.
Currently training with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has steadily improved in the past month - climaxing in a hard-fought competitive victory over challenger Moutet.
This represents the player's first title after the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hardcourt from spring of the previous year.
The win also means Medvedev has secured 21 titles at 21 different competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a tournament with my children together, so to secure a trophy is particularly special," commented tennis professional Medvedev.
"This championship is in tribute of my child my daughter, because the first title I won when my first daughter her name was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his last six finals, featuring in Halle in the past months.
Medvedev's counter-punching play style and recurring reactions on court had caused some to doubt if his capacity to compete at the highest level was over.
However the 29-year-old has altered his approach in the past month, attempting to come to the net and play aggressively, reinforced by an improved serve.
He recovered from a deficit in the first set against the difficult Moutet, taking four of the last five exchanges to take the lead.
The pair traded break points in the second set before the Frenchman, attempting for his first professional title, gained dominance to create a decider.
The opponent rescued four initial chances in a tight third set before the Russian secured a break to fifteen to secure the win.
Appropriately, Medvedev secured the title with a rally at the front of the court, with Moutet unable to handle a return after a lengthy match.
